As a faculty developer, I help faculty improve their teaching practices. Not only do I regularly develop, revise, and deliver teaching workshops in both face-to-face and online modes, but I also consult with faculty to problem-solve and resolve teaching and technology issues and to help them discover the best ways to help their students learn. Additionally, I facilitated a faculty writing group at NIU, through which I moderated and contributed to discussions on tenure-track faculty's in-progress writing publication projects. I have also facilitate multiple faculty learning communities. Finally, I am the lead program coordinator for our Center's Teaching Assistants Institute, which is a weeklong, online teaching institute with both synchronous and asynchronous components that serve new and continuing graduate teaching assistants.
